About this item
The item shown is a designer clay diya (oil lamp), commonly used during Indian festivals like Diwali. It features an ornate square-ish shape with intricate leaf patterns, textured details, and multiple groove options for placing cotton wicks.
???? Design & Aesthetics
• Intricate Craftsmanship: The diya stands out due to its beautifully molded relief patterns. The textured leaf motifs and central floral emblem give it a premium, traditional look.
• Warm Earthy Tone: The natural terracotta-orange shade is deep and consistent, enhancing its festive appeal.
• Eye-Catching Shape: Moving away from standard round diyas, the scalloped corners make it a great statement piece for centerpieces, rangolis, or doorstep decorations.
⚙️ Functionality & Usability
• Multi-Wick Capability: The corner indentations allow you to place multiple cotton wicks (up to 4), which can create a much brighter and grander illumination compared to a single-wick lamp.
• Deep Reservoir: The center bowl appears reasonably deep, meaning it can hold a good amount of oil or ghee, reducing the need for frequent refills during long festival nights.
• Sturdy Base: The wide structure offers great stability, reducing the risk of accidental tipping.
